  New Light on the United Nations (U.N.) (Scarlet Beast)

  there appears to be "new light" in the latest watchtower magazine (june 1st 2003 issue).

  several watchtower publications for the last 50+ years have said that the united nations (u.n.) organization ("the scarlet-colored wild beast" of revelation) would definitely be the organization that will carry out jehovah's judgment on "babylon the great" (false religion), and then, under satan's [gog of magog's] direction, the united nations organization would become "greedy", and try to attack the remaining remnant of the "anointed" jehovah's witnesses and their companions, the "great crowd" of "other sheep", and then jehovah and jesus would destroy the united nations organization, along with everyone else who was not a jehovah's witness.

  after perusing the various "freedom of speech" threads, i noted that anti-semitism is prohibited here, as (i imagine, by logical extension) would be anti-black, anti-latino, etc.

  WT meeting comments - on "media reports"

  well i went to a meeting while visiting my family.

  i was particularly interested in the comments from the wt paragraphs that medioned recent "media reports" in it.. first off, i found it rather clever the way the wt worded the paragraphs regarding media reports.

  they asked "how do you feel when you hear reports about jws in the media that are distortions or outright lies"?

  I know several that hold responsible, well paid, even executive level positions with fairly large companies. I know a couple of university professors, a couple of lawyers, some CPAs, one MD, one Chiropracter, a guy that has some kind physiology PhD, I don't think any of these people could be classified as stupid.

  Do You Think That Jehovah's Witnesses Are Basically Good People?

  we've all been affected by negative things because of the organization.

  but do you think that as a group, jehovah's witnesses are bad, or do you think that most of the witnesses that you know are inherently good people??

  And of course Hillary you are competely quailified to assess someone's heart condition. Most Witnesses don't glory in the concept of billions of people dying. That's not the way they look at it. You should know that if you weren't blinded by your own bigotry.

  I think most Witnesses would be described by most people that know them as "good." I think the crystal ball reading by some of the posters as they confidently decry their motives is no different than the Organization's attributing the worst possible motive to most people's actions. I guess you are well trained.

  Warren Reese caring?? I guess I can see that, ol' Warren always had a pretty high opinion of himself but at least he had worked for a living.
